Sevenoaks Kyokushinkai

Welcome to
Sevenoaks Kyokushinkai

The aim of the club is to promote and teach good traditional Kyokushin karate. You will here find training times and venues, history, photographs, details of upcoming beginners courses, costs of training and equipment, and much more, just follow the links in the menu bar at the top of this welcome page.

Sevenoaks Kyokushinkai began in 1991, when then Senpai Ray Bond (pictured above left) decided to open his first club, and it was originally located at Seal Village Hall. Success followed very quickly as the numbers grew and Sevenoaks was a success. The steadfast determination of Sensei Ray has ensured that the club has survived a variety of trends and difficulties throughout the years. Over the years Sevenoaks Kyokushinkai has been established, Sensei Ray (now 4th Dan) has guided several of his students to the coveted black belt status. However, this club is not about rushing people to black-belt, nor is it about just teaching people how to fight, it is about quality and consistency and about perservering with training to constantly improve, for health, fitness, self-respect & awareness, self-confidence, self-defence and simple peace of mind. We run the club voluntarily and we are not here to make a profit.

We are affiliated to the British Karate Kyokushinkai whose Chief Instructor is Hanshi Steve Arneil 9th Dan, we are fully insured and operate an endorsed Child Protection Policy. If you think this martial art may be the one for you or your child then please contact us, we will answer all of your questions and you will be under absolutely no obligation.

Please feel free to browse the site, and to sign our guestbook.
